Hey Everyone! My name is Dan Huard and I am the president of the ESA! I have a diploma of Environmental Monitoring and Protection from Lakeland College, and a B.A in History from St. Mary’s. I became inspired to pursue teaching after I volunteered with a youth leadership camp and realized how important positive role models are in the lives of children and youth. I have also worked at a golf course since I was fifteen, and therefore really appreciate good weather, taking it easy, and well-cut grass. Some advice I have for first years is to take everything as a learning opportunity. There may be instances where you think what is being taught does not pertain to you – take the time to figure out how it does! You will gain so much more from this program if you learn from it and let it help you grow as a teacher.
