Co-hosted with The Field of Crosses we are bringing awareness and honouring the Southern Albertans who sacrificed their lives in active combat. Annually from November 1-11 the Field of Crosses displays 3,500 white crosses and has 23 services in all with full military pageant. On school days during these days’ breakfasts are hosted for students who sit with veterans and police officers. By participating in the Exercise Freedom Together Challenge we can help to keep this tradition going.

McGivney Parking lot – start and end of 3km course
The Challenge involves a single person or a squad ( 5 people) to each donate $5.00 and then walk, jog, run the 3km course that is located on St. Mary’s University Campus. The course is marked out in the grassy fields and will have staggered starts and 3 different lanes, slow, fast, passing in order for us to keep a safe physical distance while exercise. Upon registering you will be emailed by an event co-ordinator to let you know what time your staggered start will begin and what time you should arrive on campus.
We ask that you bring your own water bottles, a mask in case you find yourself in a situation where you cannot maintain 2m physical distance from someone else.
Hand sanitizer will be available upon your arrival along with a verbal self-assessment.
