Through our Continuing Education Series, Indigenous Voices, St. Mary’s University hosts Indigenous Elders, Knowledge-Keepers and Scholars to help center Indigenous Voices and Ways of Knowing at StMU. This is part of how we work to provide foundational understandings of the history of colonization and how we can imagine a way forward toward reconciliation together.

Everyone is invited to join Métis Elder & Knowledge Keeper, Doreen Bergum to learn about Traditional Métis Values on Tuesday, March 21 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm in room M100.

Doreen was born and raised in the Métis Nation of Alberta Region 3 on Treaty 7 Territory. Doreen is passionate about teaching the knowledge of her ancestors to youth and maintaining Métis culture for years to come! Currently, Doreen teaches: jigging, beading, moccasin making, and Capote making. Register to attend on Eventbrite here.
