DESCRIPTION:Join Angela Bear Chief at the Medicine Garden for a smudge ceremony in recognition of Moose Hide Day\, an Indigenous-led movement to end violence against women\, children\, and all people. \n\n\n\nThe Moose Hide Campaign began in British Columbia along the Highway of Tears and has grown into a national initiative that calls on individuals to take a stand against gender-based and domestic violence. Rooted in Indigenous ceremony and traditional teachings\, the campaign promotes healing\, respect\, and meaningful dialogue within communities. \n\n\n\nParticipants will have an opportunity to reflect\, learn\, and stand in solidarity through ceremony. The moose hide pin symbolizes a personal commitment to honour\, respect\, and protect women and children. \n\n\n\nMoose Hide pins will be available for anyone who does not already have one.
