National Day of Truth and Reconciliation 2021

St. Mary’s University will be closed on September 30th to mark our journey towards the first National Day of Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day.

We also invite our community to join us in a virtual event with Dr. Phil Fontaine, former National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations (and residential school survivor) and Prof. Kathleen Mahoney, QC, Chair of the Board of the International Centre for Human Rights and Democratic Development and Chief Negotiator for the Assembly of First Nations for the Residential School Settlement Agreement as they share their experiences and help us reflect on and pay tribute to indigenous survivors of (and those who perished) while attending residential and day schools.
