At St. Mary’s University, we honour the more than 2.3 million Canadians who fought for our nation in World War I (1914-1918), World War II (1939-1945), and the Korean War (1950-1953), as well as those who have served since then. We remember especially the more than 118,000 who gave their lives and their futures so that we may live in peace.
The campus is closed to mark Remembrance Day.
Also in honour of Remembrance Day: on Friday November 11th and Saturday November 12th , the Lightning men’s and women’s basketball teams invite you to attend our Home Opener/Wounded Warriors weekend. All proceeds from our concession sales this weekend will go towards PTSD initiatives through Wounded Warriors Canada, to help those who are currently or who have served our country. For more information on Wounded Warriors, visit http://woundedwarriors.ca/home/.
Game times are 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. both nights, and as always, held at Glenmore Christian Academy. For more information, click here.
