A new initiative by the Science Club this fall was to set up camera traps in the west end of Fish Creek park to document large mammals entering from the west. This project arose from conversations with park staff who have some information on bears, but do not have any data on the movements of other large mammals. With the help and advice of Ryan Hannusch, a conservation officer with the park, the science club set up 2 camera traps. Stay tuned for more large mammal info!
