Jack was born in Toronto in 1929. A degree in Petroleum Engineering brought him to Alberta in 1953. Here he enjoyed a long and successful career in the oil patch.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Janet, and their four children, eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his daughter, Dianne, in 2005.
At St. Mary’s, we are grateful to have benefitted from Jack’s generous contributions of time, treasure and talent. Since 2002, Jack served on St. Mary’s University’s Board of Governors—including its Finance Committee and Site Planning Committee. He also co-chaired the President’s Dinner in 2001. A long time, generous donor to St. Mary’s, his most recent gift was in support of St. Mary’s current capital campaign.
Jack passed away on June 29, 2015 at the age of 85 years.
