Specialization/Research Interest
I am interested in funerary culture, language use, religious identity, and social and family history in the Roman Empire. My research focuses on Greek funerary inscriptions from Rome (1st–5th c. CE), examining how Christians, Jews, and pagans used a minority language to commemorate the dead and express familial ties.
