Special Collections and Archives
Within the Gerry and Anna Maier Special Collections Reading Room, you’ll find an assortment of published materials that are rare, valuable and hold significant cultural and historical importance. Our carefully curated collection is only possible thanks to the generosity of philanthropic visionaries and donors who share our passion for preserving these unique treasures. Come to the library to view the script and art of our The Saint John’s Bible, Heritage Edition. It is a stunning limited edition art reproduction of this hand-written bible – the first in 500 years! The library is the steward of the administrative archive of a local chapter of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) advocacy group. The library has also partnered with the science department to make the listings of St. Mary’s Herbarium and Tardigrade collections searchable electronically.
