The Student Success Centre is a welcoming, quiet place where you can focus on your studies. Meet with a peer tutor, study or use one of our provided computers to enhance your academic career. Our Student Success Centre staff can help answer any questions you may have to guide your studies in the right direction.

Peer Tutor
Tutors are students who have been successful in their coursework and have been recommended by faculty. They provide one-on-one assistance and advice to help you better understand how to navigate your university experience, how to approach a challenging assignment or master difficult course content. Tutors can help you to build the academic skills required to be successful in your academic career.
Appointments can be booked in 30-minute time slots. Please come prepared with your questions and materials. You can share your questions in advance to allow your tutor to prepare for your appointment.
Success Seminars
Success Seminars are a series of workshops hosted by faculty and staff at StMU on topics that can support your success. Topics include academic writing, research skills, time management and wellness. Sign up for a Success Seminar today:
The C114 student study room
This is a shared space equipped with computers, scanners and printers available for your use. In C114A, you can find StMU’s Academic Access Coordinator to discuss academic concerns or explore academic strategies for success. The Academic Access Coordinator also works to support anyone with disabilities or mental health challenges in their coursework and classroom experience.
