The Library provides resources and research assistance for all library users. Whether it is finding a print book for your paper or using electronic resources, the Library also hosts group library workshops you can sign up for and sessions for your entire class.
Participation in library workshops are available on a first-come, first served basis. You can sign up for sessions and check the schedule of sessions below. Just use the StMU ID and password that you use for StMU Webmail and for My.StMU.

Introduction to Library Research
This session will go over the basics of library research – navigating databases, finding quality research, basic Boolean searches. Encourage students to get a head start on their papers this semester!

As more and more students turn toward AI for help with academic work, this session will go over the pros and cons of using AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc) while recommending some great, free sources that will help organize and optimize the research process.

Exploring the Saint John’s Bible
This hands-on workshop will allow students to get an up-close look at our magnificent Saint John’s Bible. This session would be an ideal supplement to classes on art history, literature, history, and religious studies.
