Are you looking for a resource that our library doesn’t own or have access to?
InterLibrary Loan (ILL) is a service where a user of one library can request resources that are owned by another library. At StMU, you submit the request to our library, and we will arrange to get it from another library for you.
This includes physical items like books, videos, DVDs, sound recordings, or microfilms. It also includes photocopies or digital versions of articles in journals or magazines. InterLibrary Loans are subject to availability and licensing limitations from lending libraries.

- Is it in Calgary?
Physical materials readily available within the city of Calgary are faster to obtain directly from the library using your STMU id card (SAIL libraries only) or The Alberta Library card.- Information on the SAIL member libraries (University of Calgary, Ambrose University and Bow Valley College) is on our Partnerships page.
- To get a TAL (The Alberta Library) card to use at a local library where you do not have borrowing privileges, bring your StMU ID card to our library information desk.
- Is it an EBook or a Textbook?
Requests for entire EBooks or Textbooks are rarely filled due to publisher licensing limitations or lack of availability.

Sign in to the library with your StMU account and use the library online catalogue to search for items.
Look for the InterLibrary Loan request button or the InterLibrary Loan request form to submit your ILL requests.
