Teaching Resources

The St. Mary’s University Library supports its instructors in the classroom and in the library. Use the library’s resources to help you guide your students towards success.

Course Reserves

All instructors have the opportunity to place physical and digital library owned materials as well as physical personally owned materials on reserve for your classes. To place an item on reserve, contact a member of our library team.

Library Instruction

Learning to use the library resources can be challenging for new post-secondary students. StMU faculty are encouraged to request library instruction sessions delivered during class time. These sessions are customized to course content and designed to support students with upcoming research papers, with specific attention paid to Boolean Operators and subject-specific resources.

These sessions can be delivered in your usual class space, in one of the Library’s computer labs or via MS Teams. These sessions range from 45-110 minutes.
