Bio

Born and raised in Calgary, I’ve always had a passion for sports, a love undoubtedly influenced by my dad, who was also heavily involved in athletics. Throughout school, I participated in various sports, but sprinting quickly became my main focus.

One of my proudest moments was representing the women’s cross-country team at Nationals in Nova Scotia, where I ran a personal best of 29:30! Another standout memory was when our women’s relay team earned St. Mary’s its first-ever medals in indoor track—a historic and unforgettable accomplishment.

However, my journey hasn’t been without setbacks. Injuring my hamstring and frequently getting sick left me feeling weak and unable to compete at Provincials, which was tough to accept. It took time, but I reminded myself that it just wasn’t my moment, and I focused on recovery. With the support and encouragement of my teammates, I stayed positive and worked through the challenges.

Before any race, I always wear my special lightning necklace for good luck and warm up to my favorite music. Outside of running, I love dancing and listening to Caribbean music, especially soca—it’s the perfect way to stay energized and have fun!
