Isaiah Macdonald

Born in Calgary and raised in Carstairs, I have always had a deep love for sports and staying active. This passion for athletics grew as I embraced both the team dynamics and the personal growth that comes with competing in my sport.

What drives me every day is the knowledge that, eventually, my body will not perform at its peak. I am determined to make the most of the abilities and opportunities I have now. I want to push myself to the limits and create lasting memories, knowing that my dedication will leave me with a strong sense of pride and accomplishment when I look back on my athletic journey.

My first year of competition was marked by numerous health complications, and it took a toll on my performance and confidence. Navigating through these challenges was tough, but I’ve worked tirelessly to regain my confidence on the court and earn my place on the roster. This ongoing effort has strengthened my resolve and commitment to the sport.

Giving back to my community is incredibly important to me. Growing up, I wished for someone to guide me on the nuances of basketball and training. Now, as I continue to learn and grow, I take joy in returning to Carstairs to share my knowledge with young athletes. I aim to offer them the insights and advantages that I didn’t have, helping them on their own paths to success.
