Dr. Patrick Wu
Professor, Psychology
With over a decade of experience in psychology, Dr. Hsia-Pai Patrick Wu has dedicated his career to teaching and mentoring undergraduate students. Dr. Wu received his PhD in Experimental Psychology from the University of Calgary in 2014, specializing in behavioural neuroscience. Since completing his doctoral studies, he has taught psychology at the University of Calgary, Red Deer Polytechnic, and, since 2021, at St. Mary’s University.
Dr. Wu is passionate about undergraduate education and is particularly dedicated to courses that explore the intersection of biology and psychology. His experience in a variety of research techniques, from molecular biology and immunohistochemistry to animal handling and research with human participants, allows him to help students understand how biological processes and psychological factors interact to shape human behaviour. Alongside his academic career, Dr. Wu is also a local Calgary entrepreneur, bringing practical experience in leadership, management, and community engagement to his work as an educator.
