Dr. Matthew Risling
Assistant Professor
Dr. Matthew Risling completed his PhD in English at the University of Toronto. He taught literature and academic writing at the Jiao Tong university in Shanghai before coming to St. Mary's University.
His primary interests include 18th century and Romantic literature, gothic literature, and the "Arabian Nights". He also teaches literary theory and research methods. He loves teaching and writing of all kinds and engaging with students on various critical and cultural perspectives.
