Faculty Bio

Dr. Adam Hill

Assistant Professor, History

I was born in Edmonton, but Calgary was home for my first 23 years. After completing my MA degree at the University of Calgary, my wife and I spent the next several years happily pursuing different teaching opportunities in various parts of the world: Vancouver, Singapore, Germany, Russia, back to Germany, back to Vancouver, and then back to Germany. In 2021 we finally returned home to Calgary, and I was delighted to find an opportunity to teach here at St. Mary’s University. While our twins are now off at university in BC, we’ve enjoyed the chance to finally come back home!
