Dr. Valerie McDougall

Assistant Professor,

Dzinisi Guja, Siz'a Valerie McDougall, at'a.
Dr. McDougall is from the Tsuut'ina Nation. She is Dene and Cree. She is an Assistant Professor in the Education Faculty where she shares her knowledge and ways of being in Indigenous Education. Valerie has a B.A., a B.Ed., a M.Ed. and is currently working on her Doctorate in Education at the University of Calgary. Her study is in the Alberta Leadership Quality Standards Competency #5 of Foundation and Application of First Nation Metis and Inuit in Leadership and Truth and Reconciliation. Valerie is an avid golfer and can be found on her home course of Redwood Meadows Golf Course. She enjoys beadwork, reading and spending time with her family when she is not golfing or going to hockey games.
