Student Success Centre

Student Success Centre

The Student Success Centre is a welcoming and supportive space, located in the Classroom Building. Here you can find Accessibility Services, Academic Strategists, the Testing Centre, Counselling, Peer Tutors and Study Hall.  All of these services are here for you to support your academic journey. Our Student Success Centre staff can help answer any questions you may have to guide your studies in the right direction.

These academic supports are free to all students.

Peer Tutors and Quiet Study Spaces

Our Peer Tutor program is FREE for all students to access.

The Peer Tutors are students who have been successful in their coursework and have been recommended by faculty. They provide one-on-one assistance, group sessions, and advice to help you better understand how to navigate your university experience, how to approach a challenging assignment or master difficult course content. Tutors can help you develop the academic skills necessary for success in your academic career.

Appointments can be booked in 30-minute time slots. Please come prepared with your questions and materials. You can share your questions in advance to allow your tutor to prepare for your appointment.

The Peer Tutors can be found in C127. One-on-one and group sessions are often provided during office hours in this space. Peer Tutors also host weekly Study Halls in the Classroom Building. Peer Tutors have booked sessions as well as drop-in hours. Please see the schedules posted around the university as well as the booking link for opportunities to connect.

No appointments are necessary to attend Study Hall sessions, and everyone is encouraged to attend. Keep your eyes peeled for the Study Hall pop-up signs!
