This Is Your Shot To Step Into The Storm.
Lightning Badminton ID Camp
April 26 Session: 2:30–5:30 PM, at Centennial High School
The Lightning Badminton ID Camp is a high-energy opportunity for prospective student-athletes who want to compete, improve, and be part of something new.
St. Mary’s University is launching ACAC badminton competition in the 2026–27 season, and we’re looking for athletes who want to help build the very first Lightning badminton team.
This camp is your chance to step on court with our coaches, experience the training environment, and show that you have what it takes to help shape the foundation of a new program.
This isn’t a passive camp. It’s fast-paced, competitive, and designed to challenge you — physically and mentally. You’ll train the way we train. You’ll compete the way we compete. And you’ll get a real feel for the culture we’re building inside Lightning Athletics.
What You’ll Experience
-
High-tempo skill sessions focused on movement, shot quality, and tactical play
-
Competitive drills and match play that demand focus, effort, and resilience
-
Direct coaching and feedback from the Lightning coach
-
Opportunities to demonstrate your badminton IQ, work ethic, and coachability
-
An inside look at the standards and expectations of Lightning badminton
We’re not just evaluating technical ability. We’re looking for athletes who compete hard, support their teammates, and raise the level of everyone around them.
