Student Research and Conference Fund

  • Students in capstone or honours programs may apply to have research-related expenses reimbursed up to $250. Additionally, students enrolled in a Major are eligible to apply for up to $1000.00 in funding support to present research at an academic conference. The policy and application can be found here:

St. Mary’s University Faculty Research and Scholarship Grant

  • Deadline: Second Monday of April
  • This annual, internal grant competition funds research projects up to a value of $2500 over 18 months.

David Lawless Award

  • Deadline: Second Monday of February
  • In recognition of the scholarly and research achievements of full-time faculty, this award is typically presented annually in the amount of $1000. You can find the details in the policy below.
